Areas of Practice

Corporate and Partnership matters

Our work includes advising on set-piece projects – such as fundraisings, joint ventures, mergers, and start-up business arrangements – and day-to-day work around shareholders’ agreements, LLP Agreements, articles of association, partnership matters, contract review and negotiation and corporate governance.

Much of our work is in and around the financial services industry, where clients include investment managers, proprietary traders, family offices and pension funds.

Business Operations

Most businesses have the same broad legal considerations. They also have specific industry issues and we advise on a range of these considerations and issues, such as:

  • commercial contracts;

  • employment and consultancy arrangements;

  • arrangements with service providers;

  • restructuring and business expansion; and

  • investment due diligence.

Corporate governance

Effective corporate governance makes room for entrepreneurial and prudent management.  It improves accountability and transparency.  It is widely acknowledged that well governed companies perform better, and staff and clients notice the improvement.

We advise on how to achieve effective corporate governance and our clients are boards and individual directors.
